Mechanical Engineer — Environmental Devices

Design, prototype and test protective enclosures, probes and mounting systems for monitoring devices used in fields and livestock facilities.

- Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or equivalent CAD tools.
- Optimize enclosures for dust, water, heat and impact resistance in agricultural environments.
- Design probe structures, mounting hardware, battery compartments and suitable thermal solutions.
- Work with suppliers and field teams to prototype, validate and refine products.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools.
- Hands-on prototyping experience with 3D printing, CNC or manual fabrication.
- Knowledge of materials, sealing and outdoor product design is a plus.

- Integrate moisture, temperature, EC, pH and NPK sensors with communication modules.

- Optimize power use, measurement accuracy and long-term field reliability.
Requirements
- Strong C/C++ skills.
- Experience with embedded platforms and RTOS.
- Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, Modbus and IoT data protocols.
- Experience with ESP32, STM32 or LoRa connectivity is a plus.
